As I start
My practice
Little wrinkles
Take my focus
And my mind
Drifts
In irritated annoyance
Over such
Disorder
I bring myself
Into the awareness
That sometimes
Stillness is
More important
Than perfection
Peace arrives
And I refocus on
My practice
And as I go deeper
Wrinkles re-enter
Under my back
Creating bulges that
Hijack
My thoughts
Yet again
And I wonder
If stillness
Is more
Important
Than perfection?
As I befriend
The wrinkles
Under my back
And welcome
Their presence
In my life
It becomes
Crystal clear
That
Stillness
Is
Perfection
